Agenda

     -always have a daily agenda visible to keep students on task during class and set time to go over a homework agenda at the end of class

Homework

     -assign nightly homework questions and do regular home checks

     -give students the opportunity to teach each other

Incorporate Technology into Lessons and Assignments

     -PowerPoints, Video Clips, SmartBoard, Teacher Websites, JotForm, Survey Monkey. Photostory, etc.

     -Kinesthetic, Saptial, Inter/Intra Personal, Linguistic, Musical, Naturalistic, Logical

Hooks

     -use hooks to engage and interest students when starting new lessons/units

Activit Learning

     -get students involved and engaged by implementing global/social issues into the classroom (ex. have students create a form of Public Service Announcement on a current

      social issue happening in their school ie. Bullying)

Cooperative Learning

     -group/partner assignment

     -use chart paper and have groups brainstorm and present based on topics in the lesson

Bulletin Board Theory

     -give students a variety of choices in completing assignments so they may use their strengths in order to be successful (ex. poster, presentation, essay, etc.)

     -Keep students engaged by changing up routines and teaching styles.  Use relatable materian in lessons and keep assignments related to real life.

     -Example: provide students with an image of a Georgia O'Keefe painting and have them critic/analyze the work using only three elements and principles of design.

Unknown Object

     -bring in an unknown object from another culture and have students critic it as a piece of art without telling them the objects actual funtion.
